Many moons ago, I stood beneath an icicle with my boyfriend and formed a pact:
we would be living in California by June. By mid-June we were settled in Berkeley.
Our first phone call was from an old friend living in Chico, CA. "Welcome to California! Have you been to Paradise yet?" With those words a road trip followed.
We hitchhiked to Paradise, CA where we discovered triple digit temperature. Now my husband and I wink to each other and say, "We've been to Paradise."
Summer Road Trip is a small tribute to memories of hot, sweaty, adventurous road trips. It's a nod to the freedom of exploration under extreme weather conditions and the satisfaction that comes from discovery. Viva the road trip!
